Vice President and President, Building Solutions, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America
Johan Pfeiffer is vice president and president, Building Solutions, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America for Johnson Controls.
In this role, Pfeiffer has responsibility for the company’s commercial and residential solutions businesses in these regions, spanning building controls, HVAC, fire protection and security. Prior to the Johnson Controls merger with Tyco in September 2016, Pfeiffer led the integrated fire protection and security solutions businesses in all regions outside North America at Tyco.
Before Tyco, he had a 22-year career with FMC Corporation and FMC Technologies, where he most recently served as vice president, leading the global Surface Technologies and Energy Infrastructure businesses. Previously, Pfeiffer was vice president of FMC Technologies’ Surface Wellhead businesses after advancing through a series of business line general management roles in Europe, Latin America and North America.
Pfeiffer holds a bachelor’s degree in materials science engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. He also earned advanced degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, including a master’s degree in international studies from the Lauder Institute and an MBA from the Wharton School. Pfeiffer serves on the advisory board of the Petroleum Equipment and Services Association.
