Charles Harvey

Charles A. Harvey joined Johnson Controls in 1977 as a technical recruiter. Harvey rejoined the company in 1991. He held positions of increasing responsibility before being named group vice president, Human Resources for the global Automotive Experience business. In 2006, Harvey was named vice president, Diversity and Public Affairs, leading workforce and supplier diversity, government relations, community relations and public affairs programs. Harvey was named and serves as President of Johnson Controls Foundation, Inc.

Previously Harvey worked with Philip Morris as manager of Industrial Relations, beginning in 1981, and later was named director of Personnel Administration. In 1984 Harvey founded Boch Plastic and served as vice president of Operations.

Harvey earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, and a Bachelor of Science in English from St. John’s University.

Harvey serves on the board of directors for the United Way Southeast Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Public Policy Forum, the Detroit Music Hall for the Performing Arts and the Milwaukee World Festival.
