Colin Boyd

Colin Boyd joined Johnson Controls in 2008 as vice president, Information Technology, and chief information officer (CIO), responsible for leading the global Information Technology organization.

From 2002 to 2008 Boyd led the global Information Technology organization for Sony Ericsson as CIO and corporate vice president. He joined Sony Europe in 1998 as general manager, European IS operations and services. Early in his career, Boyd served as principal consultant, IT and telecoms for British Telecom from 1994 to 1998. Prior to that time he worked for IBM and Logica.

Boyd holds a Master of Science in information technology from the University of London, and a Bachelor of Science in engineering and management from the University of Nottingham.
