Our Engaged Employees

Make a difference

Our employees make a difference, because they learn about our business and how they can contribute to the company's success.  They are actively involved in serving customers and improving their workplace. They are recognized for achieving results that demonstrate our Values.

Global Employee Survey

Launched in 2007, our annual Global Employee Survey process gives employees an opportunity to share their comments and opinions about their workplace. From employee input, action plans are put into place at the team level. In six years, nearly 98,000 workplace improvements have been made around the world.

Recognition

Recognition goes a long way in engaging an employee.  We believe that the everyday informal acknowledgement by supervisors and peers for a "job well-done" often carries just as much importance as formal recognition.  Our employees -- as individuals and as part of teams -- are regularly recognized for excellent service for our customers and for Johnson Controls.

Chairman’s Award

Our Chairman’s Award program reinforces our employee engagement Value, which states, we foster a culture that promotes excellent performance, teamwork, inclusion, leadership and growth. The Chairman's Award program reflects those priorities, and our commitment to involve and engage our employees as individuals and team members.

Vision Week

Started in 2000, Vision Week is an annual opportunity for all employees, at more than 1,300 sites, to learn more about the company, our business goals and how they can help achieve these goals. Each year a different central theme is explored; past topics have focused on integrity, leadership, customer satisfaction, market leadership, and sustainability.
