Made with wood fibers
Fibrit is the product of a wet forming process similar to paper production. The high natural fiber content of 94% ensures price stability compared to products derived from fossil-fuel resources. Fibrit combines wood fibers (offcuts from sawmill processing) with an acrylic resin binder.
Benefits
- Low area weight
- Cost-effective due to easy vacuum covering as Fibrit is air permeable, ideal for in-mold graining (IMG)
- Increased design freedom
- Low material costs
- No pre-treatment necessary for wrapping process
- Recycling of carrier material
- Use of renewable material to reduce the carbon footprint
Applications
- Carrier for covered door panels
- Covered or foamed instrument panels
- Covered inserts
Experience
- In production since 1954
