Since 1996 the European Headquarters of Johnson Controls Automotive Experience is based in Burscheid, Germany. Today more than 1,700 employees with 40 different nationalities work here.

The 156,000 square feet European Headquarters has become the ideal center for the development of advanced automotive technology. It houses product development, industrial design, consumer and market research, benchmarking, prototyping and a wide range of testing facilities such as the acoustics and comfort lab or a sled test track. In addition many central functions are based here, such as engineering and program management.

Burscheid is a small city in North Rhine-Westphalia of Germany, near to the major cultural centers of Cologne and Dusseldorf.
