Since 2004 the Johnson Controls Automotive Electronics technology center is situated in Karlsruhe-Durlach, Germany. On 40,000 square feet 150 employees of various departments are working together to develop mainly products for driver information such as clusters and center displays for German carmakers.

The technology center houses product development for system, hardware, software, mechanics incl. prototype build, validation, customer management and advanced quality.

The Karlsruhe-Durlach technology center is part of the "Raumfabrik" area and is closely related to the manufacturing plant in Remchingen. It is situated 15 minutes by car from the city center of Karlsruhe, 60 minutes south of Frankfurt/Main airport and 60 minutes west of Stuttgart airport.
