Remscheid Development Center

Since the takeover of seating specialist KEIPER in 2011 Remscheid has been one of the development locations for Johnson Controls Automotive Experience. It currently employs around 170 people.

The development focus is on innovative components for car seats. The site, which covers 175,500 square feet, also includes a machining center where specialists produce bushings, bolts and parts for rear seat components. Technology competence and innovative strength have a long tradition at Johnson Controls Remscheid: the former company KEIPER was founded here in 1920.

The industrial city of Remscheid is part of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region and is close to Düsseldorf in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
