Foam is a key determinant of automotive seat comfort, and Johnson Controls is an industry leader in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of polyurethane comfort solutions. We apply our expertise in ergonomics, biometrics, pressure mapping, thermal comfort and vibration dampening to maximize occupant comfort while providing the right balance of comfort and support.

 

One of the ways we ensure that proper balance is our unique horizontal layering process whereby we combine dual layers of foam with different density and hardness into a single molded product. We apply our advanced foam technologies to customize vibration performance, pressure distribution and other factors that affect comfort to support the specific characteristics our customers want for their vehicles and brand image.
