Federal Contracts - Funded Programs

One way to increase efficiency is through Utility Monitoring and Control Systems (UMCS -- also known as Plant Management Systems, Energy Management and Control Systems or Building Management Systems). These systems seamlessly integrate energy management, environmental control, fire management, access control, lighting control, overall facility monitoring, and maintenance management. They allow you to cost effectively manage the operation of your facility.

Johnson Controls is prequalified for the following UMCS contracts:

Worldwide UMCS -- Providing UMCS, supervisory and data acquisition systems, and other automated control systems including fire alarm, life safety, and electronic security systems. Covers all 50 states and US government facilities around the world.
MEDCOM PMS -- The U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) is managing this contract to provide all labor, material, equipment, supervision and other items necessary to procure, install and maintain Plant Management Systems (PMS), including UMCS, fire and security components, on U.S. military hospitals in the continental United States, Hawaii and Alaska.

Once Johnson Controls is selected at a location, we work with the site to develop and implement task orders that allow us to carry out the appropriate job. Our Partnering Sessions bring together financial, technical and operational groups from the site, along with the IDIQ contracting officer. The Partnering Session insures that there is clear communication and everyone has a clear understanding of the process.
