Metasys® Application and Data Server (ADS) bring an entire new suite of technologies to the Metasys system. Whether standard or with extended capabilities, the ADS meets the needs of small to large applications. Comprehensive information access is provided supporting Internet technologies, Information Technology (IT) standards and enterprise level global communication. Complete access to the entire building automation system via a Web browser is provided by the ADS to multiple users, which allows efficient management of environmental control, energy usage, quick response to critical conditions, and optimization of control and automation strategies. The ADS manages the long-term storage of trend data, event messages, operator transactions, and system configuration data. As Site Director, the ADS provides secure communication to a network of Network Automation Engines (NAEs) and Network Integration Engines (NIEs).
