Solar Photovoltaic Energy
Solar electrical energy is generated when the sun’s energy strikes a solar photovoltaic (PV) panel. A series of PV panels are combined in PV arrays that send Direct Current (DC) to an inverter, which converts the electricity to Alternating Current (AC) Power. The AC power is integrated into the building’s electrical system, thereby reducing the amount of electricity that must be purchased from the grid. Solar PV systems can be sized to produce as much or as little power that is required in a given application.
