Highlights from CoreNet Global Shanghai Summit
Professionals from the corporate real estate (CRE) industry recently met at the iconic Grand Hyatt Shanghai at the largest CoreNet Global Summit held in Asia Pacific to date.
The three-day conference featured keynote addresses focusing on the global economy and its impact on the CRE industry, along with presentations on key trends, innovations and best practices adopted by corporations today.
Here is a selection of key takeaways from delegates:
- Lillian Li, Head of China, Facilities Management, MSD China: “I had a great time attending the sessions. I strongly agree that technology like motion sensors are quite innovative and will be big in the future. The Workplace Motion solution works similarly to the Merck New Hoteling Concept but has advanced technical capabilities which makes it better.”
- Narayan Kamath, Regional Manager, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, Real Estate, General Motors: “The opening session by Dr. Fan Gang and the closing session by Anders Sorman-Nilsson were fantastic. CoreNet lived up to its tradition of having interesting and off-beat concluding sessions.”
- Christopher Staal, Vice President and Global Head, Real Estate and Facility Management, Thomson Reuters: “The Summit was a great networking event and everyone seemed to enjoy it. I wish it could be done on an even larger scale so that we can meet more people."
- Larry Yeap, Director of Corporate Real Estate and Workplace Solutions (APAC), Juniper: “The conference was engaging and topics were interesting. I felt that the presentation on Workplace Motion technology was informative and attention-grabbing.”
Johnson Controls looks forward to participating in future trends and insight at the upcoming Amsterdam and Las Vegas Summits later this year.
