GWS team at Airbus Tianjin wins Star Supplier Award

Star Supplier Award
The GWS facilities team at Airbus Tianjin, China has been awarded the Airbus Tianjin Star Supplier Award for providing outstanding facilities services at the 1.2 million square feet final assembly line. As the only supplier to receive this award, GWS was also recognized for the on-time delivery of projects and services that have extended far beyond the final assembly line. These include an overhaul of the paint shop as well as renovation works at key facilities, such as the cooling tower and other areas within the site.
2011 Airbus Tianjin & ATDC Annual Party
The prestigious award was presented to GWS at the 2011 Airbus Tianjin and ATDC Annual Party, which took place in January.

The Airbus A320 family final assembly line project is Airbus’ first for commercial aircraft constructed outside Europe. It is also the first assembly line for large commercial aircraft in Asia. The Airbus A320 and A319 are assembled at the Tianjin plant.

The GWS Airbus account team has been providing facilities service to Airbus Tianjin since December 2008, with the on-site team growing from 20 to 50 during the past two years.
