A new name for Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions in China
Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions (GWS) has launched an official Chinese name , “Zhi Da Wei Shi”. The new name conveys its capabilities as a trusted partner to help customers achieve business objectives through intelligent, smart solutions. GWS Zhi Da Wei Shi fully embodies a commitment to create efficient, safe, and sustainable workplaces for clients in China..
The name was announced during a press launch held in Beijing’s bustling city centre on 26 August. Desmond Teo, Johnson Controls newly appointed Vice President and General Manager of GWS Zhi Da Wei Shi Asia and his predecessor Deborah Roberts proudly unveiled the new name to the 40 media representatives.
"Globally, our business evolves around our customers to develop tailor-made solutions for them,” said Desmond, summarising GWS Asia’s goals and the adoption of the Chinese name. “We manage to bring down the operating cost of any workplace throughout their entire life cycle, which has saved a cumulative amount of up to $3 billion over the past decade.
The adoption of an official Chinese name for GWS fully embodies our commitment to provide excellent customer service in China. I’m confident that we will continue with this growth path, while supporting and improving China’s workplace safety, to provide solutions which are ‘the key to green wealth’ for China businesses. This is our core business, so our customers are free to focus on theirs."
Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions’ business has tripled in China over the last three years by delivering expert knowledge to a variety of different businesses. Today, the company serves more than 1.3 million sq meters of facilities in over 125 sites in China. With the introduction of “Zhi Da Wei Shi” this success looks to continue as the company creates smart, green business environments for clients in Asia.
