We host first Efficiency Forum for Southwestern China
Johnson Controls recently hosted its first Building Efficiency Forum to promote sustainable development in Southwestern China. As China increases its focus on the huge and still largely untapped Southwestern region, sustainability and energy efficiency are moving to the forefront of the development agenda.
The event attracted representatives from local government, trade associations and the private sector, including the Chongqing Foreign Trade & Economic Relations Commission, the Chongqing Real Estate Development Association and the Chongqing Construction Energy-Saving Association. It provided a platform to exchange ideas, promote leading energy efficiency, green certification, and technologies in core cities in South West China.
During the forum, participants from government, the private sector, industry associations and the academic sector discussed critical issues such as the development of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) in China and China's role in the global environment improvement through close co-operation, development of tools and policies.
