The 260 employees from Freudenberg Produktionsservice (FPS) and Freudenberg Gebäudeservice (FGS) based in Weinheim and Neuenburg in southern Germany have joined Johnson Controls’ German operations.
Dr. Martin Stark, Member of the Freudenberg Management Board commenting on the transaction said, "In Johnson Controls, we have found an experienced investor with a long-term orientation. We share values such as integrity, innovation and customer orientation and both companies take health, safety and social commitment very seriously. Our corporate cultures are therefore very well matched. Prospects are very bright for associates and customers not only to feel comfortable with Johnson Controls but also to perform high-quality services."
Freudenberg production
Apart from the new Freudenberg locations at Weinheim and Neuenburg, Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions already provides services for other major industrial customers in the Rhine-Neckar region, such as BASF.

"By acquiring qualified Freudenberg employees, we intend to extend our know-how in the industrial sector and to expand our regional presence in southern Germany. This will strengthen our market position in central Europe and open up new options for further growth in business with industrial customers," comments Stefan Wolter, Managing Director of Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions in Germany."
