International Outsourcing Organization Names Johnson Controls Leader as one of its Most Influential Industry Professionals
Guy Holden, Vice President and General Manager, Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions (GWS) has been named one of the most influential people in the global outsourcing industry by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP).
The inaugural “Powerhouse 25” list, published in the IAOP’s official publication, Globalization Today Magazine, listed the top professionals driving the global outsourcing industry. Those on the list represented all sectors within global outsourcing. The “Powerhouse 25” was decided by public vote, along with an IAOP judging panel.

Under Holden’s stewardship, Johnson Controls GWS’ annual sales have grown three-fold exceeding $4 billion and the number of employees has increased to 21,000, making the company a major player in the industry.
The full “Powerhouse 25” list can be viewed in the October edition of Globalization Today Magazine (p.16 ff). Johnson Controls GWS was ranked No. 10 on the IAOP’s 2011 Global Outsourcing 100, which lists the world’s best outsourcing service providers.
Johnson Controls and BASF Extend Facility Management Partnership
Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions (GWS) has extended its partnership with leading chemical company BASF to provide technical facilities management and relocation services for another four years.
The range of services includes the maintenance of 140 buildings at BASF’s Ludwigshafen headquarters, the largest chemical complex in Europe, as well as at the company’s agricultural research site in Limburgerhof. The area of the buildings managed by Johnson Controls GWS at Ludwigshafen totals more than 400,000 square meters and houses about 8,000 employees.

“The highly technical nature of the work at BASF makes facility management and safety imperative,” said Klaus Göthling, Johnson Controls GWS Customer Account Lead for BASF. “This extension will enable us to continue to support the important work BASF is performing in these facilities for customers and partners throughout the world.”
Johnson Controls GWS has provided services to BASF in conjunction with consortium partner, Lieblang Cosmos, for more than six years. In 2008, the Johnson Controls GWS and Lieblang Cosmos consortium received BASF’s Best Contractor award. Under the new agreement, Lieblang Cosmos will continue to provide infrastructure services, such as general cleaning, in the buildings that are managed by Johnson Controls GWS.
Cisco Awards Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions Special Recognition
Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions (GWS) has received a Special Recognition Service Award from Cisco. This honor recognizes Johnson Controls GWS for its exceptional partnership during the Japan earthquake and tsunami in March of 2011. The recognition was given during Cisco’s Supplier Day, recently held at its headquarters in San Jose, California.
Cisco presented awards to suppliers in recognition of their contributions to Cisco’s success in fiscal year 2011. The Supplier Day Awards mark the importance of supplier relations as part of Cisco’s strategy and is a significant milestone for the company in fostering stronger supplier relationships.
