Johnson Controls has been listed on four Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) investment indexes in 2010.

The company's climate change disclosure practices have been recognized by inclusion on all four of CDP's indexes:

  • Global 500 Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI) – one of 51 companies
  • S&P 500 Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index – one of 53 companies
  • Global 500 Carbon Performance Leadership Index (CPLI) – one of 48 companies
  • S&P 500 Carbon Performance Leadership Index – one of 14 companies

Boots Partner of the Year
GWS was recently named Boots' Business Services Partner of the Year 2010. The account team won the accolade after proving to the judging panel that the value they added to Boots was the best for the financial year 2009/2010.

GWS has been managing Boots' facilities at their support site in Nottingham, UK, since 2004. In 2009 this contract was extended by two years.

JCI Receives Highest LEED Certification
Our corporate headquarters has been awarded the highest recognition by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Four buildings on our campus were recently awarded LEED Platinum certification; the highest concentration of LEED Platinum buildings ever recognized by the council.

On the eve of its second anniversary, the GWS Asia Finance Shared Service Centre in Malaysia received the Annual Asian Shared Services Excellence Award from Shared Service Outsourcing Network (SSON), the largest industry best practice sharing organization for SSCs and BPOs in Asia.

Johnson Controls was voted as the winner of the award under the best new captive category, one of the six categories awarded by SSON at its annual conference. The awards were decided by a panel of judges comprising of distinguished CFOs and SSC/BPO Leaders in Asia.

Johnson Controls is ranked in Newsweek’s top 15 green companies 

Newsweek magazine’s latest Green Rankings affirmed our dedication to energy and sustainability– naming Johnson Controls fourteenth among America’s 500 largest corporations, and placing the company second (to Nike) in its consumer products and cars sector.

“Newsweek’s ranking of Johnson Controls recognizes the commitment our 130,000 employees throughout the world have to advancing our environmental leadership,” said Steve Roell, CEO. “With our origins dating back to Warren Johnson’s invention of the first electric thermostat more than 125 years ago, we always have been focused on energy conservation. Our offerings now span retrofitting buildings to make them more energy-efficient to developing advanced hybrid battery technology and lightweight seating for vehicles.”
