Allen E. Martin
Vice President and General Manager, Global Aftermarket
Career
Allen Martin joined Johnson Controls in 1984 and was recently appointed to VP and GM, Global Aftermarket. In this role, Martin and his team focus on the strengths of local market leadership through regional management and have operating responsibility for the balance of our SLI lead-acid battery manufacturing facilities around the world, supporting both Aftermarket and Original Equipment customers with SLI products.
Prior to this role, Martin served as Vice President and General Manager, Americas. In this role he was responsible for the lead-acid battery business in North America and South America. Martin has spent a significant portion of his career working in our Building Efficiency business. His prior assignment included the North America Systems and Residential businesses, South America, Middle East, as well as, global security and fire responsibility. He also has worked internationally in Europe as Vice President and Managing Director of Europe and Africa for Building Efficiency. Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, the region covers 31 countries with 24 spoken languages. He successfully integrated the YORK International acquisition and designed a change program to execute the strategies, resulting in a Chairman's Award for earnings and growth improvement.
Community Service
Martin currently serves as a director for the Kellogg Alumni Club of Wisconsin. He is active in the United Way and the United Performing Arts Fund in Milwaukee, is a board member of the Zoological Society of Milwaukee, and also participates on the Mequon Thiensville School Board Business Advisory Council.
Education
Martin holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical engineering from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas, and earned his EMBA from Northwestern Kellogg School of Management.
