Career

In his current role Eric Mitchell leads the design and operation of the key components associated with the Power Solutions business. His team is responsible for the  general management of the  global lead business, all recycling facilities, polyethylene and other plastic components, separators, PowerFrame® and the full scope of strategic sourcing and procurement across the business, including both lead-acid and lithium-ion technologies.

 

Mr. Mitchell joined Johnson Controls in 2003 and prior to his current role was responsible for the company’s Power Solutions lead acid battery business in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He has also worked for the Automotive Experience’s business in China. During this time Johnson Controls was fortunate to experience significant growth and an increase overall presence in the Chinese market.

 

In his industry career Mitchell held several positions the field of management and finance and has over 20 years experience in the automotive sector spanning North America, Asia and Europe.  Roughly 17 years of this time have been served abroad.

 

Education and Background

Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Michigan.
