Career:
Kim Metcalf-Kupres joined Johnson Controls in 1994, starting with the company's Building Efficiency business. She has held her current role in the Power Solutions business with global responsibility for strategy, sales, marketing and communications for the division since 2007. In total, her career spans nearly 30 years of sales and marketing experience obtained through her work with Fortune 150 companies across different industries and markets involving diverse business models, technologies and distribution channels. As a result, Ms. Metcalf-Kupres has extensive experience understanding customer needs, building new businesses, managing channels and sales organizations, driving new product development and brands and ultimately finding simple solutions to complex problems.
At Johnson Controls, Metcalf-Kupres is directly engaged in strategic initiatives focused on growth in emerging markets such as China and growth through new energy storage technologies aimed at high efficiency, Start-Stop and hybrid/electric vehicles.
Education and Background:
Metcalf-Kupres holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wayne State University and a Masters in Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Literacy Services of Wisconsin and Women’s Fund as well as serving as an executive sponsor for Johnson Controls’ Women’s Affinity Network for several years.
