Career
Ray Shemanski joined Johnson Controls in 1988 and has been in his current role since October 2009. He leads the Johnson Controls organization in the execution of our current strategies to ensure continued success and achieve profitable growth. He is also responsible for integrating our global commercial organizations to provide seamless support to OEM customers for the full range of battery systems, including leadacid, advanced leadacid, and lithium-ion technologies.

Prior to his current role, Shemanski served as Vice President and General Manager, Ford Business Unit – Global, Automotive Experience. He joined Johnson Controls in 1988 and has held positions of increasing responsibility, including Plant Manager, Managing Director, Vice President of Global Sales, and Vice President North American Change Program, prior to assuming his Ford Business Unit leadership role in February 2006.

Education and Background
Shemanski earned a bachelor’s degree from Saginaw Valley State University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
