New Supplier Sustainability Rating

Sustainability is one of the core values of Johnson Controls across all three divisions. Our products and services provided are designed to improve our customer’s sustainability. At our own facilities, we are constantly analyzing and improving our processes to become more sustainable and reduce our carbon footprint. We recognize that the only way to achieve real growth is through safe and sustainable business practices. As such, suppliers are expected to conduct their business in a safe, sustainable manner, consistent with all laws and regulations, and focusing on reducing the carbon footprint of their activities.

As part of these expectations, Johnson Controls has created a Sustainability Rating to quantitatively measure a supplier’s environmental impact. Our rating will ask questions related to a company’s ethics policy, labor conditions, carbon footprint, waste management, and overall environmental impact. For the suppliers who receive a global scorecard, the Sustainability Rating score will be 10% of the total. Johnson Controls would like to thank you for your effort in completing this rating and improving the supply chain to be more sustainable.
