Automotive Experience Johnson Controls Supplier Training

Johnson Controls is committed to creating an environment of continuous improvement and accountability through-out the extended enterprise. To enable that environment and enhance capabilities, Johnson Controls will offer specific training oppotunities to supplier team members.  These team members will participate in training right along with the Johnson Controls team members working to achieve the same objectives. The suppliers will be asked to cover their costs of the respective training. The program is voluntary and registration will be granted based on a first come, first serve bases. Approval for participation will be granted by the respective supplier quality and development director, based on the criteria established below. 

The following is the training is available through the Johnson Controls Leadership Institute.  Funding will be managed upon registration.  
1.  Kepner Tregoe
2.  Six sigma (Blackbelt/Greenbelt/Master Blackbelt) 
3.  Lean Implementer

Participation Approval and General Questions/Answers:
The supplier quality and development director for each major commodity will be the Johnson Controls approver for participation. Those team members are: 
Alan Fleshman – Trim, foam and plastics suppliers (alan.t.fleshman@jci.com, 616-394-2594) 
Tom Truesdell – Electronics suppliers (Thomas.w.truesdell@jci.com, 616-394-8514)  

Participation Requirements: Only those suppliers with materials best business practice (BBP) agreements or other long term supply relationships are eligible for participation. Suppliers not meeting these criteria can be approved when special circumstances exist. The respective supplier quality and development director will disposition approvals individually.
