LTU

To propel academic and applied research into optimizing vehicle and battery design, Johnson Controls donated state-of-the-art test equipment and deployed technical resources to Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. We complement our global R&D capabilities with investments in more than 30 laboratories around the world. The goal is battery technology and energy storage that helps automakers meet fuel economy and emissions standards, saves consumers money at the pump and delivers improved performance and functionality in vehicles.

A planned $200 million state-of-the-art Johnson Controls automotive battery manufacturing facility in Shenyang, China, will have capacity to produce 6 million automotive batteries a year while meeting the industry’s leading sustainability and environmental standards.
