Johnson Controls executives honored as “Rising Stars”
Ingo Fleischer, group vice president and general manager specialty seating, Johnson Controls Automotive Experience; and Florence Bailleul, vice president and general manager Aftermarket EMEA, Johnson Controls Power Solutions, were among 15 executives who won the 2016 Automotive News Europe Rising Stars Award.
According to the publication – which annually honors European automotive industry leaders in its EUROSTARS event – a Rising Star is an automotive executive in middle to upper management who has distinguished himself or herself by driving change, fostering innovation and making courageous decisions, and who is now on the path to becoming a next-generation Eurostar.
Fleischer impressed the international jury with his sustained product design success and management of various global simultaneous development teams. His outstanding results in coordinating the introduction of new products in just-in-time production facilities around the world were also notable.
"Johnson Controls has always encouraged my development and consistently offers me a variety of opportunities in many different departments and countries. I am delighted that this has been recognized externally and with an award," Fleischer said following the award ceremony in Munich, Germany.
Bailleul was rewarded for the achievements she made during her 20-year-long career in the automotive industry, which she began in 1994 at Valeo. Since 2013, she served as vice president and general manager Aftermarket EMEA.
"Florence Bailleul has been an impactful leader since joining Johnson Controls to manage our aftermarket business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa," said Ray Shemanski, vice president and general manager Aftermarket, Johnson Controls Power Solutions. "The team has launched new products across the region, initiated proactive battery test programs and built strong relationships with our customers."
