Johnson Controls has been ranked 16th in Corporate Responsibility (CR) Magazine’s annual “100 Best Corporate Citizens List.” Corporate Responsibility Magazine recognizes standout corporate responsibility and sustainability performance of public companies. The list ranks the 1,000 companies in the Russell 1000 Index.

Johnson Controls has been on this list and in the top 25 for the past 11 years in a row.

The 100 Best Corporate Citizens List documents 260 data points of disclosure and performance measures—harvested from publicly available information in seven categories: environment, climate change, employee relations, human rights, governance, finance, and philanthropy & community support.

“Each year, the 100 Best Corporate Citizens List measures the success of the corporate responsibility movement by celebrating the most successful, most transparent companies who report on their responsible practices,” said Elliot Clark, CEO of CR Magazine. “We congratulate those honored on this year’s list for their commitment to corporate responsibility.”
