Al Salem Johnson Controls Earns a Top Spot on Best Saudi Workplace List
For second consecutive year, ASJC named among Best Saudi Company to Work For
JEDDAH (8 July 2013) - Al Salem Johnson Controls (ASJC), a global leader in delivering solutions that increase energy efficiency in buildings, ranks fourth on the annual top-ten Best Saudi Company to Work For list, in the category of ‘’Large Enterprises’’ for providing ideal work environments. ASJC employs more than 1,700 people in Saudi Arabia.
The Best Saudi Company to Work For list is released by Al-Eqtesadiah Newspaper and launched in partnership between TeamOne Consulting and the Saudi Research and Publishing Group. The survey assesses companies on multiple factors including management style, corporate values, training and development, and work-life balance.

The company supports the Kingdom’s government nationalization target to achieve 50 percent Saudization, the national policy to encourage employment of Saudi nationals in the private sector, by 2015. Training is provided to employees who have access to 300,000 online educational materials through Johnson Controls. Employees also have the opportunity to take international job shadowing assignments in the United States or technical trainings in Europe and Asia. In addition, an in-house training center provides a variety of courses such as technical expertise, soft skills development and safety training.
ASJC encourages employee involvement through programs such as Ideation, where staff is encouraged to share ideas on how to increase safety, quality, environment and process efficiency and effectiveness. Employees join monthly Town Hall meetings to discuss projects, achievements, awards and upcoming events. Community activities are encouraged through programs such as Blue Sky Involve, where employees dedicate time to do volunteer work. Family activities, such as bowling tournaments, are also organized to boost employees’ health and well-being.
