One of only 18 companies recognized in the U.S.
MILWAUKEE, Jan.21, 2016 --Johnson Controls is again being included on the Corporate Knights 2016 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations Index. Companies named to the Global 100 index are the top overall sustainability performers in their respective industrial sectors, selected from a starting universe of 4,353 listed companies with a market capitalization greater than $2 billion (USD). The Global 100 is determined using 12 quantitative sustainability indicators and is tied for the best overall ranking in the world for its relevance, insight, trustworthiness, and convincing methodology in a ranking by the Branding Institute.
“Our selection to the Global 100 for the third consecutive year, exemplifies the successful contributions of our 150,000 employees around the world who actively demonstrate the value of sustainability in the work they do every day,” said Grady Crosby, vice president public affairs and chief diversity officer of Johnson Controls.
Johnson Controls has been named to this elite list six times since inception in 2005. Corporate Knights unveiled its list at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Johnson Controls is a Strategic Partner of the World Economic Forum.
“Global 100 companies strive to make the world a better place; and they are where people want to work, buy from and invest in for the long term,” said Toby Heaps, CEO of Corporate Knights.
