Executive Involvement and Steering
As a result of extensive surveys, assessment work, and anecdotal evidence our community has shared with us, it is important that Johnson Controls be an active voice as an employer of choice.
Our involvement provides important guidance on economic, social, educational and environmental community issues. It also allows the community to understand Johnson Controls commitment to the communities where we live, work and travel.
We encourage our leadership to engage with community organizations that need their expertise and talent to guide their philanthropic efforts.
The Executive Involvement and Steering function of Community Relations seeks to strategically match our inclined leaders with targeted organizations to help achieve their aspirations. We do this by coupling the leader's personal passion and professional expertise with area organizations we have assessed that have a need for this type of guidance.
We are mindful of the importance of how Johnson Controls is perceived as an employer. And we recognize the need for honest dialogues and participation to ensure we have a positive impact on the community both on our own and through partnerships.
We partner with our leaders to share where we think we can make the greatest impact benefiting the community at large by leveraging the best and most effective match of resources.
The example our leadership team sets for our employees is exactly what engagement and living our Vision is all about!
