Blue Sky Involve, our global volunteer program, encourages employees to form volunteer groups that work with local organizations to support environmental stewardship and leadership development projects.
In 2009, the number of Johnson Controls locations participating in Blue Sky Involve increased by more than 22 percent to 650 sites. Each site received a $1,000 grant. More than 12,500 employees participated in 44 countries, donating a total of 105,000 volunteer hours throughout the year.
Since the program was created in 2006, our employees have volunteered more than 322,000 hours.
