In its 2012 rankings, Johnson Controls was rated the Best Investor Relations Company by buy-side analysts in the Consumer, Autos and Auto Parts category.

Overall, Johnson Controls was tied for 15th among companies in all sectors as the Most Honored Companies in the magazine's annual "All American Executive Team" ranking.

The magazine asked nearly 1,350 analysts and investment professionals at more than 600 buy-side firms and some 830 sell-side analysts from about 150 institutions to identify the best executives among the U.S. companies they cover. Companies were ranked on a range of qualities, including access to senior management and corporate social responsibility.

The winners will be honored at a special awards dinner to be held March 1 in New York.
