Johnson Controls Chairman, CEO participates in Clinton Global Initiative jobs summit

June 30, 2011 – Johnson Controls Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Stephen Roell (pictured at right) joined host former President Bill Clinton at a roundtable discussion at CGI America, an event focusing on job growth in the United States.

The discussion, which included top business and governmental leaders, was part of an overall meeting sponsored by the Clinton Global Initiative in Chicago on June 29-30. The goal of the event is to develop new ideas for spurring economic growth and to highlight existing programs that can be replicated elsewhere.

In addition to Roell, participants in the roundtable discussion included Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel; Jim Rogers, chairman, president and CEO, Duke Energy Corp.; Steve Case, chairman, The CASE Foundation; John Podesta, president and CEO, Center for American Progress; Jennifer Granholm, former governor of Michigan; and others.
