Because 99% of operating hours are spent at off-design conditions, YORK centrifugal chillers are engineered for maximum efficiency at both design and off-design conditions. In answer to environmental concerns, they are charged with HFC-134a refrigerant, which has zero ozone-depletion potential and no phase-out schedule. And operating sound levels of the chillers are improved up to 8 dB with the YORK OptiSound™ control.
