Modular Central Utility Plants
Customized mechanical rooms tailored to meet your specific needs and budget
Modular Central Utility Plants offer flexible design for mechanical rooms
Historically, utility plants have been constructed using a traditional onsite, from the ground up approach. While this conventional approach is appropriate for some applications, Johnson Controls offers a time and money saving solution for your central utility plant design. Benefits of our modular mechanical plants and rooms include:
- Reduced Capital & Maintenance Costs
- Reduced Lead Times
- Streamlined optimization
- Reduced Construction Risks & Disturbances
- Easily Expand “As Needed”
Modular Mechanical Rooms Save Time & Money
Johnson Controls modular mechanical plants are pre-engineered & manufactured off-site in a controlled environment, free from weather interruptions or the impact of delays from other onsite conditions. Produced at a component level, modular utility plants arrive pre-built, tested and ready to start-up soon after arrival. For all these reasons, capital costs of these mechanical rooms can be reduced by 10-15% and lead times can be reduced by 40% vs. the conventional approach, leaving more dollars and time available to you for revenue generating activities within your business.
Modular Mechanical Plants offer better Design, Engineering and Accessibility
Experts from Johnson Controls will work with you to determine the ideal layout for your new modular central plant. We offer standardized mechanical room modules, equipment selections and scope that are flexible enough to meet your exact needs and specifications. Johnson Controls maintains communication with you throughout the process from defining needs and determining design through submitting layouts for actual construction, production and installation of your modular mechanical room.
Johnson Controls Modular Central Plants offer a compact footprint, approximately one-third that of traditional mechanical rooms, thus leaving more real estate available to meet the core needs of your organization. Furthermore, our modular mechanical rooms are scalable and allow for much easier expansion and/or relocation if and when the need arises, without the interruption of current services.
In addition, our modular central utility plants are designed with serviceability in mind and offer improved access over traditional chiller plants. Wide service doors and overhead roof access hatches provide easy equipment serviceability. The modules themselves are configured to allow ample room for multiple personnel, all without compromising industry standard clearance requirements for mechanical rooms.
