GWS Wins $92M Contract with Bristol-Myers Squibb
Our Global WorkPlace Solutions (GWS) division is adding another world-class customer to its portfolio.
Bristol-Myers Squibb, the biopharmaceutical leader in the research and production of medicines to treat serious diseases, selected Johnson Controls to manage multiple facilities throughout North America. We won the three-year, $92 million annual contract to provide facility management and project management services. Drawing on our experience in pharmaceutical outsourcing, we'll employ about 450 people based at BMS sites in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
Our Global WorkPlace Solutions division is the world's largest real estate and facilities management business unit, and will oversee all non-FDA regulated facility management services for BMS including technical areas and low-impact capital projects, allowing Bristol-Myers Squibb to focus on its core business competencies.
“Working with trusted partners, such as Johnson Controls, in a way that positively impacts our business enables us to focus on the important work of bringing innovative medicines to patients who need them,” said Glenn Gerecke, vice president, Engineering and Facilities Services for Bristol-Myers Squibb.
