As energy efficiency becomes a key priority in advancing the economic and environmental goals of businesses and organizations, we invite you to take part in a series of webcasts that will provide up-to-the-minute information about energy efficiency initiatives, technologies and best practices. It’s an excellent way to stay connected year-round to the important discussions held at the annual Energy Efficiency Forum. 
 
The Forum’s mission is to be the premier forum that promotes an energy efficiency ethic through the presentation of national and worldwide views on energy efficiency and the resulting impact on the environment, national security and economic growth. 
 
The first Energy Efficiency Forum Webcast: 
Energy Efficiency: Policies, Priorities and Perspectives happened on Monday, October 19, 2009 
 
The agenda included:

  • Energy Efficiency Policies – Maria Vargas, Director, Strategic Partnerships, Climate Protection Division, U.S. EPA
  • Resource Priorities – Steve Nadel, Executive Director, American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy
  • Marketplace Perspectives – Clay Nesler, Vice President, Global Energy and Sustainability, Johnson Controls, Inc.
  • Discussion moderated by Barry Worthington, including emailed questions 

 
The free webcast was the first in a series sponsored by the Energy Efficiency Forum, a non-partisan event now in its 21st year, co-sponsored by USEA and Johnson Controls. Leaders from American businesses, school districts, health care facilities, federal/ state/local government, NGOs – as well as international officials – attend the Forum each June in Washington, DC. This webcast provided a perfect opportunity for those interested in energy to tune in, learn and continue the dialogue on energy efficiency.
