Johnson Controls is developing advanced Lithium-Ion battery technology for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) and Electric Vehicles (EV) as well as other advanced storage applications.

Our Battery Technology Centers play a key role in quality control:
  • Electrical testing, teardown analysis, product benchmarking and customer-specific testing.
  • Extensive trials, fleet testing on taxis, trucks and patrol cars under the most challenging conditions in Las Vegas (extreme heat), Barcelona, Hannover and on the Arctic circle in Europe (extreme cold).
