Career
Alex A. Molinaroli was elected a corporate officer in May 2004 and has served as president of the Power Solutions business unit since January 2007.
His responsibilities include leadership of the Power Solutions global business, including lead acid battery operations, advanced energy storage application technologies, fuel-efficiency initiatives, and research and development efforts for innovative power storage products including hybrid battery systems. He has represented Johnson Controls in Washington in support of legislation for reduced fuel-consumption and increased fuel economy standards nationally as well as participated in domestic energy policy discussions and global environment summits.
He leads a team of 14,000 Power Solutions employees in more than 30 locations across the globe. Previously, Mr. Molinaroli served as vice president and general manager for the North American Systems Building Efficiency business. He joined the Company in 1983.
Awards, Recognition and Service
Mr. Molinaroli serves on the Board of Regents for the Milwaukee School of Engineering and the Board of Directors for the National Center for the Arts and Technology.
Education and Background
Mr. Molinaroli earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical and computer engineering from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Science in business from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
