Career
Shu Q. Yang has served in his current position since July 2007.
Mr. Yang is responsible for growing Johnson Controls’ Power Solution business in the Asia Pacific Region with locations in China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and India. His responsibilities include leadership of the Power Solutions Asia business, including lead acid battery operations, overall market strategies, management of customer and partner relations, culture enablers and a regional management team development as well as systems and processes implementations.
Since joining Johnson Controls in 1997, Mr. Yang has held positions of increasing responsibility. Most recently he was Vice President of Business Development and Strategy, Asia Pacific for Johnson Controls’ Automotive Experience business from 2005 to 2007 and Director of Sales, Marketing and Business Development, Asia Pacific, from 2003 to 2005.
Education and Background
Mr. Yang received a Master of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Sciences from Shanghai Jiao-Tong University in Mechanical Engineering.
