Purpose

It is the company's objective to conduct its business in a way that is reflective of a good corporate citizen. In support of that objective, Johnson Controls has launched a global cause program called Blue Sky. A "global cause" provides a strategic approach to community involvement and philanthropic efforts while furthering business goals.

Blue Sky is a program focused on our employees and the environment to benefit our communities. It is an initiative that encompasses the many programs, sponsorships and events that affect personal employee growth and environmental stewardship. It is the ultimate goal of Blue Sky to improve the lives of our employees, our communities and the world we live in.

Blue Sky is based on our values. It will help the company improve its programs relative to the environment and employee development and it will promote recognition of our achievements in these two areas.
 

Organization

The Blue Sky advisory board will include global management representatives who will be available to provide counsel about activities relative to sustainability from an environmental and a leadership development perspective, as well as from a global business perspective.
