Total Security and Control During the Baseball World Cup
When Panama hosted the Baseball World Cup, one of two sanctioned world championship events by the International Baseball Federation, officials recognized the need to improve surveillance at the four stadiums that would be used. To ensure the overall safety of players and spectators alike, a system using an expanded network of newer IP cameras, a more capable video recording system, and an integrated management system was required. In addition, the solution would need to be suitable for other sporting and public events held at each stadium in the future.
This case study explains how several video solutions from American Dynamics, including the VideoEdge NVR coupled with the victor unified client, met the needed requirements, and details how the installation was accomplished in only two weeks. The result was a security solution that was powerful, user-friendly, and capable of providing security surveillance for thousands of people attending the tournament.
