Problem

Olivewood Residential Estate extends over 70 acres in Johannesburg, South Africa. With more than 350 homes in the Estate, Olivewood has a neighborhood of hundreds of families to secure. Olivewood Residential Estate and the Olivewood Homeowners Association (OHA) wanted a surveillance system where they could easily access and monitor neighborhood activity at any time.

Solution

Twenty six new Axis and Arecont Vision IP cameras were installed throughout the neighborhood. The cameras cover the roads and public areas of the community. The new security system is completely wireless and can be controlled at all times. Security personnel can view video on the cameras through the exacqVision video management system (VMS) software. With the Exacq Mobile app, Olivewood Residential Estate can view video from the cameras any time of day and from anywhere to access alarms and assess situations from their smartphones and tablets.
