Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency and decarbonization, was ranked on The Alliance for Climate Transition’s (ACT) 2026 list of Top 20 Companies in the Energy Transition. Companies were selected based on their ability to deploy impactful clean energy technologies at scale, coupled with strong investment in R&D, significant commitment to sustainable infrastructure, and active engagement in innovation through partnerships and acquisitions.

Johnson Controls’ inclusion on the list recognizes strong performance in helping customers reduce energy and operational costs by over $9.5 billion and improve operational efficiency in mission-critical environments. "The company has reduced Scope 3 emissions by 33% from use of sold products, double its 2030 goal. Internal progress has also outpaced goals – reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 46% since 2017 and meeting or matching 91% of its global electricity needs with carbon-free energy."
