Johnson Controls launches next-generation fire safety workstations to improve visibility and response in complex facilities

The expansion connects 2.5x more fire alarm control units compared to industry alternatives, improving response and operational resilience for large, diverse facilities.

MILWAUKEE, Aug. 25, 2026 – Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization, today announced the next generation of its fire and life safety networking and workstation solutions, helping operators gain greater visibility across building systems, accelerate emergency response and support safe, resilient operations in mission-critical environments. Built to help operators act faster and with greater confidence, the new platforms bring enterprise-scale monitoring, cybersecurity-focused architecture and simplified operations into one unified command center.

As facilities become larger and more interconnected, organizations need a centralized view of fire and life safety systems to support faster decision-making and more effective emergency response. The two fire safety workstations, Simplex Incident Manager and Autocall Fire Site Administrator, are built to scale to the most demanding environments, adapt to local regulations and integrate data from multiple manufacturers’ control units. They are ideal for commercial facilities, data centers, campuses, hospitals, sports arenas and other high-traffic buildings and venues. The new offerings monitor and control up to 250,000 devices and can connect an industry-leading 687 fire alarm control units, 2.5x more than other industry alternatives.

The next generation workstations are designed to enable faster response times, clearer coordination and more efficient day-to-day operations by bringing system clarity and control into one place. Key benefits include:

• Complete situational awareness: Consolidated fire system visibility and control across every building, device and user, gives operators a single, always-current operational picture that supports cohesive fire detection system monitoring.
• Faster, more confident response: Color-coded graphical floor plans, head-end annunciation and single-point control put critical information exactly where operators need it, so every response is faster and better informed.
• Built-in resilience: Helps organizations maintain secure and reliable fire safety operations while supporting compliance requirements with modern authentication. To support local and state regulations, these workstations are CSFM listed, accepted by MEA (NYC) and are UL, ULC and FM approved. They also utilize ISA/IEC 62443-aligned software, keeping security clearly defined for building managers managing cybersecurity concerns.
• Designed to scale: From a single high-rise to a sprawling multi-site portfolio, Simplex Incident Manager and Autocall Fire Site Administrator adapt to local regulations, integrate with existing systems and grow with operations. Each workstation is designed to connect up to 2.5x more fire alarm control units than leading alternatives, increasing fire detection coverage in facilities.

Each workstation can connect up to 60 remote client users simultaneously with real-time system status and event information through desktop or mobile applications. Additionally, to improve communication within facilities, building managers can send customizable action messages and notifications to occupants, first responders and connected equipment. Options for integrations with connected camera and SafeLINC Cloud to provide additional visibility of systems or remote areas are also available. Through point simulation modes, building managers can verify installation accuracy and test software without disrupting live systems.

Simplex Incident Manager and Autocall Fire Site Administrator are available now and equipped to support five languages, including Arabic, Canadian French, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese and Latin American Spanish.
