Another successful ISC West has ended, leaving me filled with pride and excitement at the state of the security industry and Johnson Controls’ role in it. Our presence at the show was a testament to the company’s commitment to enhancing safety across industries through automation, analytics and intelligence.
Big topics of discussion
ISC West 2025 was abuzz with discussions on several key topics: Artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics were a major focus, with attendees exploring how each is informing end-users and shaping their experiences with security innovations. Our team had several discussions around the needs for services after initial installation through efforts like our own Connected Security Services. And the adoption of new access control methods, including mobile credentials and biometric technologies, was also a hot topic. Johnson Controls’ own Gerry Pittman, senior product manager, presented on how security operation centers (SOCs) when combined with AI can provide valuable insights into prioritizing threats and enhancing response times.
