President of Data Center Solutions Todd Grabowski recently sat down with Bloomberg Radio's Money Minute to discuss innovations in data center cooling technology.

Highlights:

  • Johnson Controls' YVAM solution addresses new challenges with data center customers including broader temperature ranges, reduced energy and water use, noise reduction and size constraints.
  • Originally developed for naval warships, the groundbreaking magnetic-bearing technology delivers quiet, efficient and reliable cooling to critical data centers.
  • The air-cooled chiller uses zero water on site and consumes nearly half of the power annually while delivering the same cooling capacity and widest operating range compared to other solutions. YVAM enables complete flexibility to use the same cooling infrastructure, regardless of the cooling technology, ranging from cold air aisles to immersion cooling.
