Manage every phase, from heat capture to transfer to rejection
Built on decades of expertise and client collaboration, Johnson Controls brands such as York, Silent-Aire and M&M Carnot deliver a full range of thermal management solutions, backed by a global service network.
From heat capture to transfer and rejection, we deliver groundbreaking efficiency and reliability while helping you meet your environmental, regulatory and business requirements.
At the world's largest development facility of its kind, we're leading the way with new technologies such as magnetic bearings while pushing the boundaries of operating temperature ranges.
Use up to 40% less power, require 25% less connected load and use no water with cooling that can achieve PUE ratings of around 1.2* and WUE ratings of 0L/kWh.
From Dallas to Dublin to Dubai, you can rely on our field-proven equipment to deliver consistent performance in any environment.
Multiple paths from chip to chiller
Heat capture
Air cooling is sufficient for many applications, but the need to bring water, CO2 and other refrigerants closer to the chip is sharply rising. CDUs manage the flow to cold plates, while IRCs deliver cooled air directly into the racks.
Heat transfer
In air-cooled environments, CRAH and CRAC units provide cooled air to the IT space and, along with any CDUs, transfer heat to the chilled water loops. CO2 IRCs use simple heat exchangers for transfer. Water or CO2 chillers can deliver cooled refrigerant to the capture elements.
Heat rejection
Air- or water-cooled chillers cool the heated, or "return," facility water, with optional cooling towers or dry coolers. CO2 systems can recondense the warmed CO2 gas back to liquid in gas coolers.
