Problem

The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Illinois, houses priceless artifacts and indispensable resources associated with the 16th president of the United States. To protect the rare and irreplaceable collections in the Treasures Gallery and the Viewing Vault, the facility required a robust fire suppression system.

Solution

To provide the level of fire protection needed, and to avoid damage from conventional fire suppression measures, the library chose the ANSUL INERGEN Clean Agent Fire Suppression System. In addition to the system’s fire suppression capabilities, the suppression agent used is safe for people, a necessity since both areas are open to the public. Composed of atmospheric gases, the INERGEN agent causes no hazard to people, property, or the environment.
